Belgium is a country known for being home to the famous Tomorrowland and that’s where the newest artist we’re featuring today, AM.I, comes from. She is a pleasant discovery who has already performed at the festival on two occasions — including the most recent edition.

But while spreading her name across the local scene, she has also been distilling her techno as a producer since 2016 and has already reached some labels such as TRAGEDIE, Ballroom Black, Kuukou Records, Set About and more recently made her debut on the Brazilian label Kaligo Records with the EP Detachment.

In it, she inserts a sample of what she does best: combining heavy, dark kicks and basslines with her more melodic approach, showing that melodic Techno doesn’t need to follow tiring formulas and can be surprisingly unexpected.

To do this, she seeks traces of her references that range from Hans Zimmer’s soundtrack to the power of Linkin Park, bringing together opposing elements that work harmoniously in her creations.

Check this out by listening to her newest EP Detachment and enter the immersive sound experience she proposes throughout the three original tracks: “Hypersensitive”, “Detachment” and “Covert Energy”.
